The Landing of the Pink Elephants

My highschool friends Christina and Bianca arrived this week... and for those who don't know, Cheltenham Girls was known as the "Pink Elephants" for the pink uniform we had. Anyways, was so excited to them... even though they had to wait in my lobby coz I wasn't home!

Being their only weekend in town, we took them on a night out to a new club called Lucid... this club was pretty impressive. It had 3 floors, and many different rooms with all types of music. Navigating through the rooms were like navigating through a high tech space ship in a hollywood sci-fi... plasma screens, balconies and glass walls everywhere.. they even had an escalator in the club! The only thing they didn't have was ventilation.

The girls were quite impressed with the Entertainment district, all the streets were buzzing with people, huge line-ups to clubs were spilling onto the street... it was all a bit like when Sydney hosted the Olympic Games.

They were also impressed with the shops...we spent all of Sunday just shopping... my calf muscles were not thanking me for it, thats for sure. Anyways, there is lotsa fun to be had till the end of the week when they fly off to NYC. But when Chrtistina returns to TO, the two of us are hiring a car and doing a 3 week road trip through 5 provinces (states) on Eastern Canada... I'm so looking forward to getting behind a steering wheel again!
